An American actress, born on January 12, 1913, in New York City, USA. She was the ex-wife of actor and director Richard Conte and the mother of editor Mark Conte. Ruth obtained a master's degree in social welfare from UCLA. Her works include The Blue Gardenia (1953), Bells Are Ringing (1960), and Rich and Famous (1981).
