American actor, born in Lisle, New York, on May 3, 1898. He was an American film and television actor and acrobat, who sometimes provided supporting roles and often additional roles. He made his debut in Whoopee (1930). Among his most important works are: Witness for the Prosecution (1957), The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), North by Northwest (1959) and Some Like It Hot (1959). His last work was The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes in 1969. He died in Los Angeles, on May 31, 1975.
