American actress born in Brooklyn, New York. She studied theater at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and began working in New York theaters, mainly musical theater. She decided to retire when she had her first daughter in 1979, and had another daughter in 1984. Her comeback was on The Puffy Chair (2005). She earned the grand jury prize of Best Supporting Actress for 2012 from the California Film Awards for the short film Damaged Goods.
