British actress, born Joan Mildred Summerfield on 29 June 1921 in Brixton, London, UK. She began her career in 1931 as a dancer and made her film debut on The Rocks of Valerie (1935). Her most notable works include The Gay Lady (1949), Caravan (1946), and Sleeping Car to Trieste (1948). She made her final appearance in 1991. She married Josef Ramart and stayed with him till his death. Two days after she fell in her house, she died on 30 November 2013 in Suffolk, England, UK.
