American actor, born on January 18, 1883, in Racine, Wisconsin, USA. He appeared in more than 370 films between 1913 and 1951. He graduated from Notre Dame University. He studied theater acting, which led to his acting on stage and later in the movies. He was known for Broken Blossoms (1919), The Big Cage (1933), and Dream Street (1921). He died on December 29, 1958, in Hollywood, California, USA.
