British actor, born Ronald George Hinings Adams in Bromyard, England, UK on 31 December 1896. In addition to being an actor, he was a playwright, writer, and stage manager. He was educated at University College London and trained to be a legal accountant. However, he was more passionate about acting. He made his film debut on The Drum (1938), and his Broadway debut in 1951. His most notable works include The Lavender Hill Mob (1951), Around the World in 80 Days (1956), and The Crime of the Century (1956-1957). He made his last appearance in Premiere in 1978. He married twice and died in 1979 in East Sussex, UK.
