He was a Syrian actor, born on January 20, 1898, in Aleppo, Syria. John George was an actor of short stature (little person) and appeared in several silent movies. He joined the era of sound in films and worked in cinema and television. He immigrated to the United States around 1911. His debut was in the silent movie Bobbie of the Ballet (1916). He is known for Daredevil Jack (1920), Scaramouche (1923), The Night of Love (1927), and The Unknown (1927). He died on August 25, 1968, in Los Angeles at age of 70 of emphysema.
