British actor born in London, England, on 16 December 1922. He made his onscreen debut on Boys in Brown (1947). His notable works include The Avengers (1961), Compact (1962-1965), and The Great Escape (1963). He made his final appearance in The Price of Love (1970). He died in 2002 in Kensington, London.
