British actor, born in Brighton, England, on December 19, 1884. He got married to Mabel Theresa Tebbs in 1907 and they had two children. He made his debut in the twenties by presenting Shakespeare plays at the Royal Shakespeare Theater. He also made his cinematic debut in the late period of silent cinema, where he presented the movie A Window in Piccadilly (1928) and his last appearance was in the movie Up in the World (1956). Among his notable works Phantom Ship (1935), Dark Journey (1937), and Cardboard Cavalier (1949). He died on October 6, 1956.
