American actor born Joel Dee McCrea in Los Angeles, California, US on 6 September 1934. He studied drama at the University of California. He's known for appearing in "Beach Party" movies made by American International Pictures, including How to Stuff a Wild Bikini (1965), Pajama Party (1964), and Beach Blanket Bingo (1965). He married actress Dusty McCrea from 1976 till her death in 1996. He died of cardiac arrest on 4 April 2009 in Roswell, New Mexico, US.
