An American former world champion powerlifter, world champion strongman, and professional wrestler, born on December 30, 1953, in Burlington, Wisconsin, United States. Kazmaier is of German ancestry. He played football for two years at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and struggled to earn a living as an oil rigger, a bouncer, and a lumberjack. He established multiple powerlifting and strongman world records in the 1970s and 1980s. He won two International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) World Championships and three World's Strongest Man championships. He also worked as a sports commentator. He is known for World's Strongest Man (1979-2013), Stampede Wrestling (1987) and Born Strong (2017).
