British actor born in London, England, United Kingdom on September 25, 1912. He was married to actress Mary Hignett, they got a child, and she remained with him until her death. His notable works include See How They Run (1955), Operation Disaster (1950), Thunderball (1965), and The Onedin Line (1971). He became a prolific English film and television actor, providing supporting roles. He spent his final years as director of the Chichester Festival Theatre. He died in Chichester, West Sussex, England, on June 29, 1982, at the age of 69.
