British actor, opera singer, and former film stylist born in Ashwell, Hertfordshire, England, United Kingdom on October 29, 1923 as Arthur Josiah Skinner. His notable works include The Monsters (1962), BBC Sunday-Night Theater (1957), and The Escape of R.D.7 (1961). He worked in cinema and television in supporting roles such as a policeman, doctor and soldier. He died in Fulham, London, England, on February 5, 1990.
