British actor, ballet dancer, choreographer and costume designer born in London, England, United Kingdom on December 42, 1920. He was previously married to actress Joan Harris. Among his notable works: The Red Shoes (1948), The Tales of Hoffmann (1951), and Ballerina (1956). He died on June 30, 2009, at the age of 88.
