An Italian actor, born in Oderzo, Italy, on May 31, 1916, as Giuseppe Segato. He won the Silver Ribbon Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1947 at the Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists. His notable work includes Outcry (1946), Don't Look Now (1973), and The Humanoid (1979). He was a film and television actor whose career spanned more than 40 years. He made his film debut in 1938 and played major roles in many historical dramas. Serato died in Rome, Lazio, Italy on December 22, 1989, at the age of 73.
