Spanish actor born in Barcelona, ​​Catalonia, Spain on May 17, 1911. He won the CEC Film Writers Award for Best Actor in 1970, the National Guild of Spain Award for Best Actor in 1973, and the Guild Special Award for his work in 1974. He was married to Amparo Zavala (1946-1985), who remained with him until his death. He left his medical studies after 3 years to work in the theater field, where he entered the Ernesto Filch Theater Company in 1929. His first movie appearance was in 1935, and during the Spanish Civil War, he was a lieutenant in the Air Force. He appeared in more than 180 works until his death. Among his most important works are: The Hunt (1966), Bell from Hell (1973), and The Challenges (1969). He died in Palma de Mallorca, Mallorca, Balearic Island, Spain on May 19, 1985 of a heart attack.
