Scottish journalist, born in 1951. He worked for 22 years at The Guardian, and ended his career in September, 2018 as defense and intelligence correspondent for the newspaper. He co-produced Edward Snowden's published disclosures about the activities of the US National Security Agency (NSA). He is known for Terminal F/Chasing Edward Snowden (2015), Citizenfour (2014), and Frontline (2014).
