British actor, born in Glasgow, Scotland, UK, on 9 March, 1891. He made his onscreen debut in a talking film in 1950 and made his final appearance in 1961. His most notable works include Allan Quatermain (1919), High and Dry (1954), Rob Roy: The Highland Rogue (1953), and Kidnapped (1959). He died of prostate cancer and duodenal ulcer, on 25 April, 1961, in Glasgow, Scotland, UK.
