He was an American actor and voice actor, born on July 19, 1919, in La Grande, Oregon, USA. His career spanned over 50 years, during which he participated in various productions and presented many works. He served in Alaska as a member of the Army Signal Corps during World War II. He is known for Lady and the Tramp (1955), Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971), and Gumby: The Movie (1995). He was married to Betty Warner, with whom he had eight children. He passed away at the age of 89 on July 14, 2009, in Raymond, Washington, USA, from respiratory failure.
