He was a British actor, born on May 24, 1890, in Birkenhead, Cheshire, England. His notable works include The Girl Is Mine (1950), Pinwright's Progress (1946-1947), and Round at the Redways (1955-1956). He was married to actress Nora Gordon and they had a daughter, actress Dorothy Gordon. His acting debut was in The Outcast (1934), and his final appearance was in the TV series Dial 999 (1958-1959). He died on October 24, 1958, at the age of 68.
