Philip Stainton was a British actor, born on April 9, 1908, in King's Norton, Worcestershire, England. Stainton appeared in several Ealing comedies and major international movies. He has appeared on various entertainment productions such as theatre, TV and films. He is known for The Ladykillers (1955), Mogambo (1953), The Elusive Pimpernel (1949), and Moby Dick (1956). He died on August 1, 1961, from a heart attack, at the age of 53,in Melbourne, Australia.
