Australian actor, born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on February 8, 1914. He got married three times, had two children, and adopted two children. He made his stage debut in 1934. He came from a musical family, his father was the secretary of the Australian Musicians' Union. Lloyd worked as a radio announcer and singer, early in his career. In the early fifties, he could not get a job as an actor, and after a year of selling clothing door-to-door, he left for the United Kingdom to live and work there for the rest of his life. Among his notable works are: The Avengers (1965), The Belles of St. Trinian's (1954), and The Invisible Man (1958). He died in Cornwall, England, on March 17, 2008.
