A German writer and actor, born on January 13, 1975, in Munich, Germany. His credits include You Should Have Left (2020), Das letzte Problem (2019), and Next Door (2021). He holds Austrian and German citizenship. He is the son of TV director Michael Kehlmann and actress Dagmar Mettler. Daniel is a member of the Deutsche Akademie für Sprache und Dichtung. His novel "Tyll" was shortlisted for the International Booker Prize, while his novel "Die Vermessung der Welt" has been the best-selling book in the German language since the release of "Perfume" by Patrick Süskind in 1985.
