A Holocaust survivor who was born in Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland, and now lives in Britain. She was formerly a dancer and choreographer and now works as an actor. In...Read more the 2022 Queen's New Year's Honors List, she received the BEM (Order of the British Empire Medal) for her contributions to Holocaust education and awareness in London. She went to New York, where she taught physical theater at the Juilliard School in New York and Brandeis University in Boston. She studied acting and obtained her MA in Theatre Arts at Hunter College. Upon her return to London, she taught at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and the Central School of Speech and Drama. She is known for Do I Love You? (2002), Apparitions (2008), and Treading water (2003).
