An Irish-Scottish actress, born on June 5, 1989, in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Her works include Outlander (2014), Rab C. Nesbitt (1988), and Blackbird (2013), which was nominated for the Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and for the Audience Award for Favourite Scottish Film at the 2013 BAFTA Awards, Scotland. Scarlett was trained in acting at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, formerly the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She holds a BA in French and Theatre from Lancaster University. She married actor Gerry McLaughlin.
