He is a Lebanese fashion designer, born in Damour, Beirut. His talent appeared at the age of nine, and he used to cut curtains and tablecloths to make dresses for his sisters. When he was seventeen, he began studying fashion in Paris. He returned to Lebanon in 1982, opened a tailoring shop in Beirut, and presented his first collection. And in 1997, he presented his first collection outside Lebanon in Italy, and he is the first Arab fashion designer to display his collection at Rome Fashion Week and create a ready-to-wear brand in Milan. He then moved to Paris and began presenting haute couture and ready-to-wear at Fashion Week. Halle Berry, an actress, won the Best Actress Award at the Academy Awards in 2002 while wearing a Saab dress. He became a designer for many stars in Hollywood and around the world. He is known for being the costume designer in Sarah Brightman: The Harem World Tour - Live from Las Vegas (2004) and for his self-appearances in Enough! Lebanon's Darkest Hour (2022) and Elie Saab: Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2019 at Paris Fashion Week (2019).
