David Bernard Swift was a British actor. He was born on April 3, 1931, in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom. He was the older brother of actor Clive Swift and the father of actress Julia Swift. He attended Clifton College. He studied law at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. His works include The Day of the Jackal (1973), Vanity Fair (1987), and Casanova (1971). David was married to Paula Jacobs. He died on April 8, 2016, in London, England, United Kingdom.
