British actor, born on July 16, 1937 in London, England. He was married to Emily Scarlett in 1960 and she remained with him until his death. His notable works include John Browne's Body (1969), Law & Order (1978), Wolcott (1981), and Q.E.D. (1982). He died on December 5, 2012, at the age of 75.
