German actor, born on September 20, 1938, in Dresden, Germany. Volkmar Kleinert studied at the Theaterhochschule Leipzig and has appeared in about a hundred films since 1959. He is known for The Lives of Others (2006), Der Clown (1998), and Krupp: A Family Between War and Peace (2009).
