British actress, born on July 21, 1923, in Poplar, London, England, as Mary Spenton. Besides her acting career, where she appeared in various productions, she was also an occasional singer. She married Slim Watts in 1941 and she ran pubs with him. She is known for Holiday on the Buses (1973), Up the Junction (1968), and Country Matters (1972). She passed away from cancer on January 25, 1980, at the age of 56, in Poplar, London, England.
