American actor and director born on 15 October 1888 in Traver, Tulare County, California, US. His most notable works include Gone with the Wind (1939), Braded a Bandit (1924), KingFisher's Roost (1921), and Rangeland (1922). He married actress Hedda Nova in 1919. He died by suicide on 27 February 1953 in Hollywood, California, US.
