American actor born Augustus Westlake Filmer on 6 February 1899 in Danvers, Massachusetts, US. He made his debut in 1945 and his final appearance in 1958. His most notable works include The El Paso Kid (1946), Sergeant Presto of the Yukon (1955), The Ford Television Theatre (1952), and A Family Story (1945). He died on 15 January 1980 in Sonoma, California, US.
