American actor born Vardy McBee Williams in Pickens, South Carolina, US on 8 February 1907. He made his debut in 1947 and his final appearance in 1964. His most notable works include The Twilight Zone (1959), Cape Fear (1962), You Are There (1953), and Canon City (1948). He died of a heart attack on 29 July 1965 in Hollywood, California, US.
