British actor, born in Preston, England, on March 16, 1910. He worked in America in film and television, and provided supporting roles such as a doctor, lawyer and soldier. Among his notable works are: Of Human Bondage (1946), Pride and Prejudice (1940), and Federal Operator 99 (1945). He died in Palm Beach, Florida, on October 12, 1982.
