American actor born in Palisades, New Jersey, US on 17 February 1910. His most notable works include The Man from Laramie (1955), Winchester 73 (1950), I Died a Thousand Times (1955), and Rimfire (1949). He studied drama at the MGM's dramatic school. He married Dorothy Eleanor Gumbrell and they had two children. He died on 24 November 1955 in Los Angeles, California, US.
