An American actor, born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, on May 7, 1903, as Francis J. Scannell. He married Phyllis Marie Vaughn, who remained with him until her death. He is known for The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957), Jungle Jim (1955), One Step Beyond (1959), and The Big Valley (1965-1966). At the age of 18, he began his artistic career as a dancer and singer in a concert hall in Chicago, owned b Al Capone in 1922. He continued his artistic work in vaudeville theaters and concert halls, and in the early forties, he worked in cinema, providing additional roles such as a driver, salesman, servant, reporter, and many more. He died in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on November 29, 1989.
