A British writer and actress, born on April 4, 1958, in Arnold, Nottinghamshire, England, United Kingdom. She married Canadian filmmaker David Fine. She studied at Mansfield Art College, Lanchester Polytechnic, and later at the National Film and Television School, where she collaborated with her husband, David. Her short film Second Class Mail was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 58th Academy Awards. Her works include Bob's Birthday (1993), Bob and Margaret (1993-1998), and Animal Behavior (2018).
