American singer and songwriter, born on October 12, 1935, in Miami, USA. He was a member of the R & B group Sam & Dave from 1961 to 1981. He was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. He is known for The Great Outdoors (1988), Blues Brothers 2000 (1998), and Julia (2008).
