A Russian actress, born on May 5, 1893. Among her most important works are Tarnished (1950), The Snake Pit (1948), Side Street (1950), and Madame Bovary (1949). Esther Somers lived in the United States of America and worked in film and television. Her artistic career spanned a decade, in which she played supporting and minor roles. Her profession was affected by her being Russian-born after the increased Red Scare in America in the early fifties. She passed away at the age of 86 in Los Angeles, California, USA, on November 25, 1979.
