An American fashion designer, born in New York, in the United States. She graduated from Hewlett High School, and then attended Parsons Academy of Design, in the United States. Karan received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of the United States and has presented her designs in several productions and art forums.
