Canadian-American comedian, actress, singer, and writer, born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She is a stand-up comedian pioneer in Canada. She made her debut in 1973 as a folk singer in the band Riverboat in Toronto then in 1975, she became a regular at a comedy club called The Improv. She has voiced many cartoon series characters, and she is also a radio columnist. She is known for Honeymoon (1985), Zero Patience (1993), and The Care Bears (1986).
