An American engineer and astronaut, born in New York, USA, and attended Columbia University, USA. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, before obtaining a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He appeared in the documentary film Hubble (2010) and the film Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe (2022).
