A British journalist, writer and producer, born in 1953 in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, England. He attended Temple Moor High School. He then studied history at the University of Sussex. After university, he worked as a tabloid journalist and worked for three newspapers in London, the Daily Star, News of the World, and Daily Mail, until 1987. He published biographies of royal personalities such as Princess Diana, Prince William, and Prince Harry, and celebrities including Tom Cruise, Madonna, and Monica Lewinsky. In 1993, his book "Diana: Her True Story" was adapted into a TV movie of the same name, which he co-produced, with Serena Scott Thomas as Diana.
