An Italian actress, born in Palermo, Sicily, Italy. Her father was an army officer during World War II. She made his theatrical debut in 1974, and her artistic career led her to prestigious national theaters such as the Biondo Theater in Palermo, the Teatro Carignano in Turin, and the Elvo Theater in Milan. She made her cinematic debut in 1989 with the movie Mery per semper. He later took part in many other films, most notably Malèna (2000), Nuovomondo (2006), and Viola di mare (2009).
