American actor born in Orangeville, Utah, US on 21 October 1895. His works include The Andy Griffith Show (1962-1968), ABC Stage 67 (1966), My Gal Sal (1942), and Belle Augusta Gardner (1929). He married Belle Augusta Gardner and had five children. He died of a heart attack on 17 July 1984 in Provo, Utah, US.
