An Iranian-American actress, born in Bavaria, Germany, to Iranian parents. She grew up in Los Angeles, USA, where her parents sought political asylum. She studied opera as a child and was later drawn to musical theater and jazz, and began singing at the age of fifteen, and within a year received a full scholarship to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she graduated in 2007. She attended the University of California, Irvine to study acting, where she later graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in 2013. She is best known for her role as Gigi Ghorbani in The L Word: Generation Q (2019) and has also appeared in The Deuce (2017), Black Bird (2022), and The Killing of Two Lovers (2020).
