An Algerian writer and director, born in Algiers. He was educated in Bab ElOued. In 1997, he had to leave the film industry after the National Film Production Company was dissolved, but he hoped to return one day. In the same year, he joined the Algerian national newspaper Le Soir d'Algérie, where he worked as a reporter. In 2007, he published his first novel, "Parisian Morning," followed by his second novel, "The Odor of the Violin," in 2008. He won Best Screenplay for a Short Film at the Algerian Film Days for The Porthole, which he directed. His credits include La vie d'après anf Le Hublot.
