An American actor, born in New York, USA. He received his initial studies in Germany, and after 5 years, he returned to New York, joined DeWitt Clinton High School, and joined the drama class. He also worked on Broadway, then studied with Max Reinhardt in Hollywood and participated in classic plays. He signed a contract with Warner Bros. and performed several small roles before fighting in World War II. After the war, he returned to the theater. He studied philosophy at the College of William & Mary and worked in television theater. In 1960, he moved to Hollywood and worked in cinema and television. He is known for Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970), The Graduate (1967), and Bloodlust! (1961). Walter Brooke married three women and had two children. He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on August 20, 1986, due to emphysema, at the age of 71 years.
