He is a Mexican actor, producer, and singer. He was born on July 22, 1973, in Mexico as Jaime Federico Said Camil de Saldaña Da Gama. He is the stepbrother of actress Isabella Camil. His screen debut was in You Are My Destiny (2000). He is known for his roles in Jane the Virgin (2014-2019) and Schmigadoon! (2021-2023). Among his many awards and nominations, he received a Silver Ariel Award nomination, Imagen Awards, and a Premio ACE Award. He is married to the actress Heidi Balvanera.
