An Iraqi broadcaster and media personlity, born in Baghdad to actors Fakhry Al Aqidi and Ghazwh Elkhalidi. In her childhood, she had an aptitude for singing, and she became famous for her patriotic children's song "Ali Ya Tayyar". She graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad. In 1988, she appeared in the play Dzdemona. After that, she traveled to the United States and worked in news networks. She returned to Iraq after the fall of Baghdad in 2003. After the founding of the American channel Alhurra, she was the channel’s correspondent from the White House. However, after her return to Baghdad, she hosted political programs, and then moved after that to entertainment programs that dealt with the topics of the Iraqi artistic heritage, which were well-received by critics and viewers. In 2020, she ran for the US House of Representatives for the Republican Party in Minnesota.
